Atlas International School is a private school, in Raleigh, NC, serving Pre-K to 8th graders. The student to teacher ratio at Atlas is 6 to 1, for all grades. At Atlas, we use a challenging curriculum that includes foreign languages and music. We also stress the healthy child, providing the children with two recesses a day, and allowing only healthy foods for lunch. Atlas is fully approved by the state of North Carolina and all records are transferable. We are a parent-cooperative school whereby parents agree to actively help with homework each night. Atlas meets for a shorter day than most schools (9:30 to 2:00 or 9:30 to 2:30), thereby giving your child more time to pursue individual interests. Before-school and after-school programs are available for elementary and middle schoolers (K to 8th graders). We easily cover the full curriculum required, because of the extremely low student/teacher ratio and the parent involvement. All of our students passed the End of Grade tests last year and a full half scored in the 90th percentile or above. Atlas is an independent, non-sectarian school.
